Dawn Wentar Henry

Dawn’s career in healthcare spans more than 30 years, driven by a commitment to promote quality care for all, regardless of borders or circumstances.

She has worked in both clinical roles (as a speech pathologist and brain injury case manager) and management roles across inpatient, outpatient, and residential facilities.

Dawn has also served as a CARF surveyor, conducting national and international surveys of rehabilitation facilities. She has helped healthcare facilities in Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, and the U.S. achieve accreditation, fostering continuous improvement across multiple specialties.

Her passion for quality care was shaped by her experience as a caregiver, reinforcing her belief that accreditation should be a catalyst for positive change and continuous improvement — because it directly impacts the people we serve.

She holds multiple degrees:

  • Master’s in Communicative Disorders
  • Master’s in Health Administration
  • Master’s in Business Administration

Dawn also serves on the Board of Directors for the Brain Injury Association of Illinois (since 2000) and has facilitated a Brain Injury Support Group for more than 20 years.Outside of her professional life, Dawn enjoys exploring the world, immersing herself in nature, and spending time with her friends, dogs, and husband.
